KISR Leipziger Straße: Rahmenprogramm
22. Sep 2024
14:00-15:30
Leipziger Straße 58
10117 Berlin
During a joint walk with Hendrik Blaukat, Chairman of the Board of the Interessensgemeinschaft Leipziger Straße e.V. and Eduard Compere, art historian at the Mitte Museum (CAMPI Fellow), lost places and rediscovered stories of Leipziger Straße will be retold:
Few streets in Berlin are more characterized by their history than the centrally located Leipziger Straße in the Mitte district. From the chessboard-like Friedrichstadt in the 18th century, to densification processes in the pulsating Berlin of the 19th century, to the prestigious residential complex of GDR modernism, the street has often been the focus of “ingenious” master plans.
Followed by a get-together in the Kieztreff of IG Leipziger Straße e.V.
