The work uplifts individuals who may not be widely visible but are deeply impactful within their own networks and histories. Installed within Ashawo Café, the mural asserts the space as one shaped by the labor, presence, and cultural contributions of Black Sex Workers. It stands as both tribute and declaration, making clear that this is a space is the house that Black Heaux built. From their influence and legacy.
