Open Call: mowe 2026

Welcome to the OPEN CALL for the mowe Festival for Art and Urban Culture in Moabit and Wedding in May 2026.

Artists, Institutions, Collectives and anyone, who wishes to contribute, are invited to become part of the May 2026 festival program. Apply with your project! All genres are welcome – from painting, dance, literature, sculpture, music, acrobatics to street art. We are also looking for festival locations: cafés, studios, exhibitions spaces and other places in north Moabit and Wedding, that would to become a stage or exhibition space for a weekend. With mowe,  we want to discover new places and neighbourhoods, and connect local artists, institutions, and iniatives.

The mowe Festival in May 2026 is running under the annual theme ICONS. Together we will celebrate shinning symbols, who have an effect beyond time and space: Heros, Popstars, activists, or your next-door neighbour  – Icons, who stand for visibility, self-empowerment and shared utopias. Icons, also includes you!
